The tool takes the information you provide from your electricity bill, home set-up, and building information to calculate the right size system for your needs.

What it looks at:

  • Electricity retailer standard rates/tariff:Based on your selected retailer and the monthly amount you've indicated you pay
  • Electricity use: Taken from your electricity bill and Market Settlement and Transfer System (MSATS), this provides the average daily use of your home
  • Home set-up: The big energy using items in your home: EVs and Pools
  • Roof information: Shading (e.g. tree overhang), roof and eaves height, roof material (e.g. tiled), roof shape, roof pitch, roof north facing size - taken from publicly available information
